NMAEA and NMTESOL’s annual joint conference will be held in Las Cruces  Friday, November 13th and Saturday November 14th. Thursday the 12th will include a Welcoming Reception at the Hotel Encanto. All academic portions of the program will be held at the East Mesa Campus of Dona Ana Community College.

Las Cruces Workshop – THIS WEEKEND!

Join us for professional development in Las Cruces at New Mexico State University!

Reception: Friday, May 29th 6:30 PM at Pete V. Domenici Hall (3014 McFie Circle)

Academic Program: Saturday, May 30th 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM at Pete V. Domenici Hall (in the atrium area and rooms 005, 018, 006).

  • If you pre-registered online, fantastic. You’ll still need to check in, but it will be quick.
  • If you didn’t pre-register, don’t worry! You can register at the door. Cost of the workshop is $10 and can be paid in advance online via PayPal OR at the event by cash, check, or credit card!

What: NMTESOL Workshop at NMSU

1) Submit a proposal! Share your expertise with colleagues. Presentations are 75 minutes, can cover any topic and any level of English language teaching, can be by one speaker or by a panel. Call for Presenters – Las Cruces Workshop!

CALL FOR PRESENTERS

NMTESOL will hold its first Las Cruces Workshop at New Mexico State University on Saturday May 30th, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM.  We will also be co-hosting a reception on Friday evening, May 29th with NMSU’s Center for English Language Programs in honor of 54 Ecuadorian teachers participating in the “Go Teacher” program.

We invite you to submit a proposal for a 75-minute presentation at the workshop.  Presentations can cover any aspect of English language teaching at any level and can be a presentation by a single speaker or a panel of speakers.

We invite you to submit a proposal for a 75-minute presentation at the workshop. Presentations can cover any aspect of English language teaching at any level and can be a presentation by a single speaker or a panel of speakers.

Our 2014 Fall Workshop is just around the corner!

The workshop will be held on Friday, October 3rd from 10am to 5pm at the Workforce Training Center of Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquerque (5600 Eagle Rock Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113).
There will be three academic sessions covering various topics related to English language teaching; lunch; and opportunities for networking.

Here is a selection of the upcoming presentations in no particular order:

  • “Phonological awareness: What your brain is hiding from you”
