An easy-to-navigate website with teaching resources for beginning and intermediate level students. Students can use it for reading practice (read and repeat), vocabulary, dictation, cloze activities etc.

Read Works

This free site allows teachers to set up a classroom where students enter with a classroom code and a 1234 password.  Teachers then select readings for the students based upon level and topic.  The students can read and listen to the audio of the story and then complete comprehension questions and read about the vocabulary.

Book Creator is a simple tool for creating awesome digital books. Create your own teaching resources or have your students take the reins.

Students may use this website to practice their listening skills through music. They may choose among artists and levels, and the students’ task is to fill in the missing words in the lyrics while they listen to the song.

Students can use Screencastify to demonstrate what they’ve learned or how they solved a problem, give presentations, catch up their absent peers, make and read ebooks, or practice reading aloud in a foreign-language class.

SoftSchools

Phonics

SoftSchools.com provides free math worksheets, free math games, grammar quizzes, free phonics worksheets, and games. Worksheets and games are organized by grades and topics. These printable math and phonics worksheets are auto generated.

YouGlish

Listening, speaking, pronunciation

YouGlish is a website where you can type in any word and it will show you YouTube videos where it’s said with transcription. Great for hearing how a word is said and the context.

This website has bilingual quizzes as well as English only activities for improving grammar and increasing vocabulary.  It is not the best designed site but there are certainly many activities for students to complete that are automatically graded.  It is a collection of activities collected by the internet TESL Journal.
