Ada Vasquez has been in education for over twenty years. First starting her career in California and moving to New Mexico in 2015. She has taught and been an instructional coach in the K-6 elementary setting for various instructional models (GE, ELD, Bilingual, SE/inclusion, Reading Intervention) and all content areas. Most recently she has been working as faculty for the College of Education at Central New Mexico Community College and as a state Structured Literacy Coach. She is passionate about advocating for all learners and educators.

Membership Coordinator: Eva Goldstrom

My name is Eva Goldstrom I am a native New Mexican born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My father was a Mexican immigrant, now a Naturalized citizen who had a huge influence on my passion and commitment to encouraging students of diverse cultures to master the English language and develop a love for learning. I graduated with my bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in TESOL from the University of New Mexico. I have 17 years of experience teaching ESL/Bilingual Kindergarten, 2nd grade and currently I am the ELD coordinator at Colinas Del Norte Elementary. I have held leadership roles such as grade level chair, SAT chair, Thinking Maps trainer, and currently I am working on Structural Literacy coaching. In my classes you can expect a supportive and encouraging environment in which students strive for excellence, respect one another and know as their teacher I am always going to offer my love, acceptance and grace.


Media Coordinator: Brittany Summerhays

Brittany Summerhays is an accomplished educator and instructional designer with over 10 years of experience across various teaching and coaching roles. She has taught grades Pre-K to 8 across 4 different states and has been TESOL certified since 2018. Brittany is motivated, competent, and a leader in her community. As a military spouse, she currently leads adult ESL classes for international student spouses on base at Holloman Air Force Base. Brittany currently serves as a Structured Literacy Coach at the Southwest Regional Education Cooperative, where she develops and delivers professional development and coaching sessions, contributes to curriculum development, and utilizes analytical skills for instructional strategies in order to improve literacy outcomes for students across the state. 

Her skills and experience outside of teaching are diverse. In 2015, she founded a small online business with her husband, where she oversees the management of the blog, social media accounts, newsletter, and product designs. Additionally, Brittany served as a brand ambassador for VIPKid in 2019 and hosted a successful podcast on English Language Learner (ELL) practices and challenges during that time. She is skilled in website design and proficient in leveraging multimedia and design principles to engage target audiences effectively. Brittany’s academic background includes a focus in Writing and Rhetoric and Digital Media as well. In her free time, she likes to travel, read books, and go camping with her family.
